On Tuesday at noon, President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum left the National Palace to greet citizens in the Historic Center. The head of state was accompanied only by aides, who asked reporters to make space. Some people approached her to greet her and ask for photos. Along the way, she greeted a group of young tourists from Durango who were walking through the Historic Center. “I admire you a lot, President,” “Thank you for the work you do for Mexicans,” some of the young people said, after which they organized to cheer for her. When a larger group of citizens gathered, a man in a gray shirt approached the president, wrapped his arms around her, and pressed his body against hers. In the now-circulating video, two observers can be heard saying: “Hey, hey”.
